Cardi B Finally Announced Album Drop!

After dominating the music industry with a slew of monster hit singles, incendiary live TV performances, riveting magazine cover stories and two Grammy nominations for good measure, Cardi B has announced the release date of her debut album, Invasion of Privacy.

In customary fashion, the rapper posted the album cover — a portrait of her wearing a checkered dress and short blonde wig — on Instagram Monday night and announced the project will come out Friday, April 6. She could potentially showcase the new material the following night when she performs on Saturday Night Live, hosted by Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman.

Cards B has built tremendous anticipation for her debut album over the past six months. She topped the Billboard Hot 100 last September with the incendiary “Bodak Yellow” (dethroning Taylor Swift in the process) and helped launch three other tracks — Migos’ “Motorsport,” Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” and G-Eazy’s “No Limit” — into the Top 10.
